VM Backup Setup and Restore¶

1. Backup¶

1.1 Once backup¶

Select VM, and click Backup -> Backup now, select backup Storage, then click Backup

1.2 Schedule backup¶

• 1.2.1 Add backup job

Click Datacenter -> Backup -> Add to create backup job

• 1.2.2 Config backup job as General

Node: can by node backup VM

Storage: can use PBS/NFS... (select cluster backup storage)

Schedule: can select default schedule (daily/weekly/monthly/year)

Selection mode: can use Include selected VMs / Exclude selected VMs / All, or by pool based (if configure)

Notification: can select Email (if configure)

• 1.2.3 Config backup job as Retention

可以根据实际情况设定保留策略 (by 最后备份数量, by 小时, by 天数, by 周数, by 月数, by年)

• 1.2.4 Config backup job as Note Template

可以自定义备份完成后通知的模板

After the backup script is configured, it backs up each of the selected VMs to be backed up one by one.

2. Restore¶

2.1 VM restore (new machine)¶

2.2 VM restore (original machine)¶

If restoring to the original machine, the VM need to shutdown first

• Select backup file ,and start restore

Click VM -> Backup, select need restore backup file, and click Restore

• Restore VM machine

2.3 File restore¶

• Select backup file, and start restore

Click VM -> Backup, select need restore backup file, and click File Restore

• Restore file

Select need restore file or folder, and click download to loacal PC, then you can send to user
