Proxmox VE Installation¶

Hardware: Dell R7625

Software: Proxmox VE 9

1. Raid config for OS (Optional)¶

• 1.1 Create RAID 1 for OS install (use 480GB Disk *2)

Boot server and press F2 to Entering System Setup

Click Device Settings

Click RAID card

Click Configure

Click Create Virtual Disk

Select RAID level to RAID1, and click Select Physical Disks

Checked OS disk, and click Apply Changes

Input VD name (example: OS), and select Default Initialization to Fast, then click Create Virtual Disk

Checked Confirm, and Yes

2. Basic install¶

• 2.1 Login iDRAC (or iLO), and boot from CD-Rom, select Install Proxmox VE (Graphical) then press ENTER

• 2.2 Click I agree

• 2.3 Select OS install disk, and click Next

• 2.4 Select Country / Time zone / Keyboard Layout, and click Next

3. User config¶

• 3.1 Setup root password

4. Network config¶

• 4.1 Select Management Interface, and config IP address

5. Finish install¶

• 5.1 Confirm installation info, and click Install

• 5.2 Waiting OS install finish

• 5.3 Click Reboot to finish install
